Adopt Ginger, a Black and White Domestic Cat

Please help us find a home for Ginger. She is an absolutely gorgeous girl with a strikingly beautiful face and a little tiny meow. She was brought to the shelter from the home she had known all her life for financial reasons. She was frightened at first, and has spent some time in foster care. Here's what her foster mom had to say about her:

"I have had the pleasure of having Ginger in my home for short term foster care. She has been a rose bud in bloom. I have seen her blossom in the short while she has been with me. Mostly Ginger is reserved in manner. However she can be feisty all but 8 pounds of her. Ginger knows what she wants or doesn't want and will let you know with her soft meow or soft hiss or an occasional little kitty nip. She will ask for your attention and kitty kisses or she will walk around you until you respond.

Ginger loves to be praised for any reason. She is very neat and quiet. She is still learning how to play with cat toys but really enjoys playing catch the rope and likes little toy mice. Ginger enjoys adult conversation, having her head scratched or sitting on the window sill watching the birds. She likes to have a sleeping buddy for naps and at bedtime and enjoys a soft bed.

Ginger is waiting for that Special One to be her forever companion. We are asking for an adult home for Ginger, as we know that she will thrive best with attentiveness in a calm environment."

In her former home, Ginger lived with kids from 2 to 10 years old and a Rottweiler. Her family reports that she uses a scratching post/pad.

Ginger is now about 5 years old and already spayed. This brave girl has made progress by leaps and bounds--you can help her complete her journey back to happiness! She's currently at Frederick County Animal Control, located at 1832 Rosemont Ave., Frederick, MD 21702. (301) 600-1546. PRESS 0 WHEN YOU BEGIN TO HEAR THE RECORDING TO AVOID THE PHONE TREE. Pet ID:10-4462

Please pass this on to others. Ginger needs and deserves a good home. See this kitty now!.
