Adopt an Orange Tabby

Please help us find a home for Cricket. Cricket is a beautiful orange tabby girl who is an extremely gentle soul. She is a shy girl who takes a while to trust, but she loves to be petted. Sometimes you have to be a little sneaky and pretend you are doing something else, then sidle up and start petting her and she will purr and purr.

Cricket came to the shelter as a stray, pregnant with 2 kittens. She gave birth on May 25, 2009 to two little girls named Tinker and Jasmine. This little family spent some time in foster care, then Jasmine was adopted. Now Cricket shares a cage here at the shelter with Tinker (pictured with her) while they search for happiness.

Cricket is about 4 years old and has been spayed. She needs a family with extra love and patience to help her slowly build up trust. Earning the trust of a shier feline can be very rewarding and often forges an extra strong bond. If you are interested in mom AND baby, you would save on the adoption fee!

Cricket is currently at Frederick County Animal Control, located at 1832 Rosemont Ave., Frederick, MD 21702. (301) 600-1546. PRESS 0 WHEN YOU BEGIN TO HEAR THE RECORDING TO AVOID THE PHONE TREE. Pet ID:09-5588
